![]() ![]() If that's too boring, go back and replay a pack you've already completed, as once you complete them it costs coins (which you should have plenty of) and instead rewards you with tokens you can then use on the new packs. And if you have 20+ sitting around, search for the most "expensive" puzzle you can afford so it won't be a headache later.Īlso, find an easy-ish "hard" puzzle to memorize and farm for 3 tokens each time you redo it. My tip-once you get to 10, spend them immediately so it refills again (you don't need to finish the puzzle, just start it), otherwise you're missing out on freebies. ![]() Every 4th or 5th puzzle will give you 10 tokens plus another 10 if you watch an ad (always worth it). Usually I do a few or log in just to spend the free 10 you get so that it can refill over the next half-hour. Love love love this game, it's the only one I've seen that matches seemingly endless puzzle packs with an "in game currency" situation that only requires you to buy into if you want to binge a TON of puzzles in one sitting. especially with it being a little more expensive than other apps, I wish there were more options. I hate to admit how regularly I purchase tokens for this game. Because I hate that I have to do the easy ones just to get to the next pack. For instance, one pack that contains only hard or super-hard puzzles. My only recommendation would be to offer packs that are all one specific level. Which, in my opinion, is odd because if you’ve made it almost to the end, it means you’re no longer a beginner… the puzzles shouldn’t be getting easier. Now that I’m getting close to the end of the packs, I’ve noticed there are less “super-hard” & “15x15” puzzles. And I have to admit, once I began playing this game, I saw the 15x15 puzzles and was intimidated! I thought I’d never be able to start them let alone complete them! But now that I’ve been playing, the hard and super-hard puzzles are the ones I prefer! Which brings me to my one complaint… or more of a recommendation. Also, I don’t know if it’s because I’ve purchased tokens, but there are no ads in between games, which is amazing! Considering a lot of the puzzles take more than 10 tokens. I play so much that the 10 tokens they give you to play is not enough. I have became obsessed with this game! I love it! The only con I have is that I’m spending money for tokens, lol. The computer I played it on was most likely a Macintosh Quadra or a Macintosh Classic which I know ran System 7 at some point, though I can't recall if it ran anything earlier than that or how far we were able to upgrade the software beyond that.Obsessed!!! (updated with recommendations) One of the others I recall was actually published in the very late 80s so this one plausibly could have been as well, but it would have been the *very* end of the 80s if so. Other details: This was one of the few games I played as a kid that I haven't been able to identify myself. You need to collect materials and food (bananas, logs, leaves, etc) so you'll have what you need to survive the trip to, presumably, safety, but the game ends when you leave the island. Notable gameplay mechanics: The character starts on a tropical island and has to build a raft to escape before a storm hits, which you have a countdown for. Notable characters: None named, just the generic player character, though there might have been islanders? Lots of white space with black icons and images rather than an attempt at photo-realistic graphics with the full range of greys. Graphics/art style: Black and white, top down, largely pixel graphics (probably because it was what was easy at the time rather than a stylistic choice). Almost certainly before 1997 but I can't guarantee it. Platform(s): Macintosh Classic, unknown if it was on any othersĮstimated year of release: 1990s. ![]()
