They mostly use their stinging tentacles to catch and eat their dinner. Jellyfish don’t generally intend to sting humans. Because they contain so much water, Jellyfish die quite fast after they wash up on a beach. Stormy weather and strong winds can also bring jellyfish to shore, and they can end up on the beach.
